Your trial includes everything in the paid plans — local dictation, cloud refinement, translation, Profiles, Writing Styles, Vocabulary, and Voice Shortcuts. No features are locked.

Your trial also has its own cloud processing allowance so you can experience refinement and translation before committing to a plan.

Cloud processing allowance

Pro includes 250,000 cloud input tokens per month. Max includes 500,000 cloud input tokens per month — twice Pro's allowance. These limits are the same whether you pay monthly or yearly.

Cloud input tokens measure the text and instructions sent to cloud AI for refinement or translation. Tokens are small pieces of text, rather than a word count or recording-time limit. Both features share your plan's allowance.

The paid-plan allowance resets at the start of each UTC calendar month, independently of your billing date. You can check usage and the reset date in Settings > Cloud Usage.

Local dictation, Voice Shortcuts, and managing Vocabulary or Profiles do not use the monthly allowance.

If you reach the limit, local dictation remains available. Cloud refinement and translation pause until your monthly allowance resets.

Long recordings
Cloud refinement and translation may cut off long recordings. Split them into separate recordings, or use local dictation with Refinement Off and Output Language set to Same as Spoken.

Pro vs. Max — which should you choose?

Both plans include the same features. The only difference is the monthly cloud processing allowance.

Pro — designed for everyday dictation with refinement and occasional translation. Good for most users.

Max — includes double the allowance. Better if you dictate heavily throughout the day, translate often, or use Full Rewrite frequently.

Tip
Start with Pro. Check your usage in Settings > Cloud Usage anytime. If you regularly approach the limit, choose Max for more room. Usage history carries over after the plan change is confirmed.

Managing your subscription

Open Settings > Plans & Billing to see your current plan details and choose available plan or billing-period changes.

What happens when a plan expires

If your subscription expires, dictation pauses until the plan is renewed. You can still open Stirae, manage your account, and update billing. Access returns as soon as your renewal is confirmed.
